DIAL IDDial ID Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Dial ID mobile app ("Dial ID", "the App"), published by Loyd Kim ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What Dial ID does
Dial ID uses AI to suggest which watch is in your photos, to estimate a typical used price range, and to list things worth checking before you buy. It is a reference tool.
2. AI results, prices and authenticity
- Identification can be wrong. Always check the reference number, case back and papers yourself.
- Prices are AI estimates based on general market knowledge. They are not appraisals, offers to buy, or real sold prices, and they can differ a lot from what a watch actually sells for.
- Dial ID does not authenticate watches. The "Before you buy" checklist only points to places worth looking at closely. For an expensive watch, ask a qualified watchmaker or an authorised dealer.
- Do not rely on the App alone for buying, selling, insurance, tax or legal decisions.
3. Third-party sites and brands
The "Check real prices" links open a Chrono24 search in an in-app browser and an eBay search in your browser. We are not affiliated with Chrono24 or eBay, and their own terms apply on their sites. Watch brand names and model names shown in the App belong to their owners. Dial ID is not affiliated with or endorsed by any watch brand.
4. Subscriptions
- Dial ID Premium is available as a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription. The yearly plan may include a free trial.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel it.
- If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends when you buy.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by trying to get around scan limits, reverse engineering the service, sending photos you have no right to use, or using the App to break the law.
6. Our content
The App, its design, text and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that results are accurate or that the App will always be available, and we are not liable for losses that result from relying on AI identifications, price estimates or checklists. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the App. Continuing to use the App means you accept the updated terms.
